Sarah Okdie
Sarah started her law career by obtaining her associates degree through an ABA certified paralegal program. As a certified paralegal, Sarah worked for many years attorneys with solo practices, small firms and midsize nationwide firms.
Sarah continued her education at California State University, East Bay, where she obtained a minor degree in criminal justice administration and a bachelor's degree in philosophy. The combination of these degrees allowed Sarah to explore how philosophical social justice theories affect the enforcement of laws in our country and worldwide.
These studies led Sarah to the law program at Golden Gate University. As a staff writer for the Race, Gender, Sexuality and Social Justice Law Journal she shed light on the societal impacts of a wrongfully charged crimes in her published blog, Wrongfully Charged.
While in law school Sarah was an active member of the Public Interest Law Foundation and obtained specialization certificates in Public Interest and Litigation. Sarah also provided pro bono legal services to social equity applicants through the very first Cannabis Law Clinic in the nation.
As a Partner at 8 Bridges Law Group, LLP, Sarah continues to advocate fiercely for all of her clients.
Jon Heredia
Jon’s legal practice includes corporate and business law, cannabis law, compliance, contract law, and immigration law. Jon is also a cannabis strategy consultant, providing his clients with business and legal knowledge throughout the legal process.
Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, Jon lived in Manila and New York City, eventually moving back to the Bay Area with his family. Jon received his undergraduate degrees from the University of San Francisco, and graduated from New York Law School.
Jon has previously owned cannabis businesses and creative agencies in California and New York. Jon was also a law professor at Golden Gate University School of Law in San Francisco CA where he taught cannabis law, business law, and contract law. Jon’s vast experience and wealth of knowledge makes him uniquely equipped to help you with your business as a legal and business strategist, no matter how simple or complex your case may be.
